Testimonials

I had a large issue in the driveway of my home. Multiple cracks. It sounded hollowed as you stomp on it in multiple areas. WHAT THEY DID:  They filled up the gaps inside. They repaired superficial cracks very well. They brought up the issue of how rain water could be coming under my driveway and causing more cracks in the future.

Just wanted to let you know that Josh and Nathan came today to take care of our driveway issues. They both did an excellent job in a very professional manner. We will definitely recommend A-1 Concrete Leveling to our friends here, should they have need of such services! Thanks again for your help and Deanne's help in resolving our driveway issues.

We needed part of our front sidewalk leveled, and also porch stairs. Rhett was on time for the estimate and thorougly explained what had to be done, and how it would be done. No rush, willing to answer any questions at all. They called and had an earlier opening than promised so we got it done even sooner than we had hoped. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable.

I know I had a lot of questions and I appreciated your patience. Your crew did a great job! I walked/crawled around before they left and it was exactly as I expected. The contractors I’ve hired so far for various projects cut a lot of corners and I wouldn’t hire any of them again. I’m glad Luis recommended A1. I will recommend you to anyone looking for foundation work as well.

Foundation Repair Nashville and Fighting Boredom

Some people can sit around and watch paint dry and think the boredom is a blessing. But this is because they are probably so busy that any down time is precious and greatly appreciated. But for others, boredom is one of those things that drives us crazy. If you are sitting around your home bored out of your mind, you could call your foundation repair contractor in Nashville and get these much-needed repairs done. If you are still bored after that, here are a few things you can do to pass the time.

Take a Bath

When was the last time you took a bath? We are not talking about filling the tub up with hot water, we are talking about a bath with bubbles, scented candles and rose petals. If you’re going to be bored, the least you can do is be bored while enjoying a bubble bath.

Send Out Postcards

Snail mail is making a comeback! Not really, but we are betting your friends and family would be tickled to death if they received a hand-written postcard or letter from you in the mail. It is a wonderful gesture and a great way to kill some time.

Start a Record Collection

Vinyl is making a comeback! We’re not kidding, records are becoming popular once again so if you are bored and want to be hip, start collecting albums. The first thing you want to do is make a list of what you want. We really dig 1980s music so our list includes REO Speedwagon, Devo and Culture Club. Most albums can be found online or at used record stores for just a few bucks each. It’s a great hobby that goes a long way in relieving boredom.

Make Some Lists

If you are bored, spend some time making random lists that might actually come in handy some day. Start off with a list of the albums you want to buy, then make a list of the songs you want to hear when you get your new albums.

Next, make a list of things you can do when you are bored, but be careful not to get sidetracked and start doing them because you are bored.

Lastly, make a list of things you never want to do again, like spend your day making lists.

Do a Crossword Puzzle

Crossword puzzles are fun, entertaining and a good way to keep your mind sharp. So if you are bored and need something to pass the time, go grab a newspaper, and pen and do the crossword puzzle. That is, if you can find a newspaper.

Bake Some Goodies

Baking is an art, an art with a tasty ending if all goes well. You may have a knack for cooking and you probably have a specialty dish that you prepare from time to time, but it probably doesn’t involve baking.

If you decide to bake, there are so many delectables you can prepare. For example, you can bake blueberry scones, chocolate cupcakes or sherry trifle. The key is to find good recipes on the internet and do not buy boxed mixes. For inspiration, find a good baking show on the Food Network or watch The Great British Baking Show on your local PBS station.

Rewatch a Star Trek Series

We are going to toss this out there and guess that most of you have at least seen an episode or two of one of the many Star Trek series available. Maybe you were a fan of one of the series and watched it religiously. Either way, it probably has been a long time since you have seen any of them so if you are bored, start watching them again. We recommend Star Trek: Deep Space 9 as the storyline is fascinating and the characters intriguing. Plus, there are 176 episodes, enough to cure your boredom for a very long time.

Develop a Twitch

Develop a twitch, preferably one that involves some sort of facial tick, and practice it for a few hours. Once you have your made-up twitch mastered, head to the mall to test it out. Your success depends on how well you sell it. Good luck.
